Sex Counseling
If you:
Fear you will never enjoy a satisfying sex life
Are you discontent with the sex you are having in your relationship
Struggle to communicate effectively about sex with your partner
Find that sex doesn’t feel the same way it used to
Feel inexperienced when it comes to sex
Experience sex as painful, stressful, or anxiety-provoking
I have a message for you–you are not alone, and things will improve.
Sex Therapy is specifically designed to help people work through these common issues and develop healthier, more satisfying relationships to physical intimacy.
Eiri Therapy structures its care around four core principles.
1) Sex and its associated challenges are a normal part of life. There are always underlying reasons for your problems, and it’s just a matter of discovering what they are. Sexual performance can be impacted by age, health, relationship dynamics, psychological hangups, and just the stresses of daily life. Some factors can be adjusted, and others can only be managed. Regardless of your circumstances, we will create the best possible sex life for you.
2) Sex and intimacy are an essential component of a fulfilling life. We do this work because we believe that it’s necessary. When people struggle with their sex life, they suffer. We are committed to helping you work through your sex issues so you can lead a more pleasurable, joyous, and connected life.
3) Sex positivity and inclusivity are prerequisites to effective care. At Eiri Therapy, we are open to all sexual orientations, identities, and relationships, so long as they are consensual and non-exploitative. This openness creates an ideal environment for healing, regardless of your background.

What Exactly is Sex Therapy?
Sex therapy provides a safe, guided space for you to heal, improve your communication, and expand your horizons when it comes to intimacy. Through our work, we aim to identify and overcome barriers that hinder your ability to lead an active and fulfilling sex life.
Sex therapy is a flexible practice and varies in duration. Sometimes, we can find a meaningful resolution to your issues after a single session. Other times, it takes significant commitment over months or years of work. We typically assign homework to build and reinforce new habits and beliefs as part of the therapy.
In our practice, we approach sex therapy holistically and further break it down into three separate disciplines.
1) Sex therapy. We focus on developing greater awareness, establishing agency, and exploring our values when it comes to sex. We specifically focus on issues directly concerning sexual performance and enjoyment.
2) Couples/relationship therapy. We focus on the emotional aspects of the relationship(s) you are physically intimate in. Over time, relationships often lose their spark, and it takes commitment and work to restore it. We guide couples to create the connection they desire, especially when it has been damaged by trauma, infidelity, and the stresses of everyday life.
3) Individual counseling. We focus on a client’s personal goals while helping them develop techniques to manage stress, trauma, and the healing process.
